Our Beliefs

Statement of Faith

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and in life (Matthew 5:17,18; Luke 24:27,44; 2 Timothy 3:16,17; 2 Peter 1:21).

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons.  The father, the Son and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-19; Mark 12:29; John 6:27; Acts 5:3-4; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Hebrews 1:8).

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man (Matthew 1:16,20-25; Luke 1:30-35; 2:40,52; 7:48; John1:1; 11:35; Philippians 2:5-8).

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature (Genesis1:26; 2:17; 6:5; Psalms 14:1-3; 51:5; Romans 3:10-19; 8:6,7; Ephesians 2:1-3).

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitute sacrifice, and that all who believe and trust in Him are justified on the grounds of His shed blood on the cross (John 1:29; 3:16; Romans 3:21-26; 4:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21).

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord Jesus Christ,  in his ascension into Heaven and His present life for us as High priest and Advocate (John 20:20, Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:1).

We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 14:1-3; 1 Corinthians 15:51-57; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).

We believe that all who receive by faith the lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God (John 1:12; 10:28-30; Romans 8:28-39; Titus 3:5,6)
